The chile piquin is known as chile chiltepin. They are a berry of round, oval or elongated shape but of very small size. Its flavor is very spicy, with citric and smoky tones. It is a chili bell pepper that is used in different parts of the world for the preparation of typical dishes and hot sauces.

The process of chile piquin with lime is very simple since the lime must be put in the oven to brown, and once it is ready it must be passed through an electric grinder until it is powdered. Then it is added with the ground piquin chili and this gives it a better flavor.
