The green pepper, also known as bell pepper, does not have the characteristic spicy flavor of the species. It is native to Mexico, Central America, and northern South America. They can be eaten green (immature).

Green peppers are the most immature version of these vegetables, which are the kings of vitamin C, K, folate (the natural version of folic acid) and magnesium.
